All Ireland Permaculture Association Gathering 2026
3rd – 5th July | Rathcam House, Co. Westmeath
The All Ireland Permaculture Gathering is back for another year of connection, creativity and co-creation—rooted in the permaculture ethics of Earth Care, People Care, and Fair Share.
Join us in the beautiful rolling hills of County Westmeath for a weekend of shared learning, skill-swapping, community-building and gentle celebration. Whether you’re just permaculture-curious or have been growing into it for years, you’re warmly welcome.
This year, we’re doing things a little differently and are returning to our roots; a smaller, simpler, more connected gathering. A weekend shaped not by a fixed programme, but by the people who arrive. A space to learn, share, experiment, and spend time together on the land.
To protect the site, the experience, and the spirit of the gathering, numbers are strictly limited to 100 this year.

What to Expect: A Co-Created Weekend
This isn’t a festival you attend, it’s something we create together.
A family-friendly, community-led gathering—alcohol, drug and pet-free—where the schedule emerges from those present. We expect to have a children’s programme, and we ask parents to be part of shaping and supporting it to keep the space safe and joyful for all.
We’ll begin with an Opening Circle at 10am on Saturday, where everyone is invited to offer something: a workshop, a walk, a conversation, or simply their presence.
You might find sessions on herbal medicine, natural building, food forests, community mapping, practical land skills, or songs around the fire.
We will also hold a shared meal and our second AGM.
We invite everyone to take part:
Bring something for the shared meal, ingredients, produce, something homemade or local.
And if you feel called, offer something, a skill, a story, a workshop, a walk, a conversation.
You don’t need to be an expert. Some of the most meaningful moments come from simple, generous sharing. A workshop might even just be an invite to gather around a topic or something that you want to know more about – an invitation to share rather than a presentation of knowledge.
There is a place for you here.

Food
This year, in response to feedback and good design practice, we’re re-introducing a communal meal on Saturday night for all attendees.
As is tradition at permaculture gatherings, the meal will be vegan wholefood. We invite you to bring produce or ingredients—homegrown, foraged, or bought—to contribute. There will be volunteers on hand to help prepare and serve the meal and a shared cooking area.
All other meals throughout the weekend are self-organising at your camp or by the fire. Please bring what you need and what you’d like to share.

Why Book Now?
This year’s gathering is community-supported and intentionally small.
With rising insurance and infrastructure costs, your ticket directly makes this possible, while also helping us keep places accessible for others.
If you’ve been thinking about coming, this is the year to experience something more intimate, more participatory, and more rooted.
Please book early to avoid disappointment.
Ticketing is simple. Purchase a ticket for the weekend which includes access to the site and camping, or a day ticket for just access, and your parking or campervan ticket if needed
