All Ireland Permaculture Gathering 2025
23rd and 24th August 2025 | Slieve Aughty Centre, Co. Galway
The All Ireland Permaculture Gathering is back for another year of connection, creativity and co-creation—rooted in the permaculture ethics of Earth Care, People Care, and Fair Share.
Join us in the beautiful hills of East Galway for a weekend of shared learning, skill-swapping, community-building and gentle celebration. Whether you’re just permaculture-curious or have been growing into it for years, you’re warmly welcome.

What to Expect
This is a family-friendly, community-led event—alcohol, drug and pet-free—where the weekend schedule is co-created by the people who show up. We expect to have a programme for children – we ask parents to get involved in the planning, support, and supervision of activities to help make it a safe and joyful space for all.
We’ll begin with an Opening Circle at 10am on Saturday 23rd August, where everyone’s invited to offer workshops, lead walks, host conversations, or simply join in. Expect anything from herbal medicine, natural building and food forests to community mapping, earth care skills and songs around the fire.
This year we’re also introducing a core programme, including a communal meal, and our first ever AGM—see below for more.

Shaping the Future Together
On Sunday at 10am, we’ll host the first Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the newly forming All Ireland Permaculture Association.
This is a participatory session and everyone is invited—no prior experience or membership required. We’ll explore how the Association can support permaculture practice across the island, and your voice matters in shaping that future.

Food
This year, in response to feedback and good design practice, we’re re-introducing a communal meal on Saturday night for all attendees.
As is tradition at permaculture gatherings, the meal will be vegan wholefood. We invite you to bring produce or ingredients—homegrown, foraged, or bought—to contribute. There will be volunteers on hand to help prepare and serve the meal and a shared cooking area.
All other meals throughout the weekend are self-organising at your camp or by the fire and there is also a café onsite at the venue. Please bring what you need and what you’d like to share.

Accommodation
There is ample camping space and parking included in the ticket price.
If you don’t fancy camping, you can also book a range of accommodation directly with the Slieve Aughty Centre by visiting www.slieveaughtycentre.com but please note that you will need also to purchase a Gathering ticket for entry to the event.
Camping arrivals from 4pm on Friday 22nd August 2025.
